WESTERN NEPAL MOTORCYCLE ADVENTURE TO RARA LAKE
Rara lake motorcycle adventure takes you on an incredible journey in the far west of Nepal. On this trail, you will experience the hardship of riding in the land of the Himalayas. This riding is one of the harshest for riders. But it is also about human life's stubbornness for survival in the Karnali region. It is also one of the best places to witness the difficult reality in the life of people. Finally, you will visit the most attractive destination Rara Lake.
Rara lake motorcycle adventure is an extreme adventure for both trekkers and bikers. The beauty of the natural wilderness and the view of Rara Lake make it the most amazing ride. You will ride through diverse geography, culture, lifestyle until you reach the lake. Once you reach Rara Lake, you can see the beauty God has given us to experience. This experience might be the best riding tour you have done in your life. With the opening of the roadway on trekking destination, we can take part in riding adventure. Now time for riders has come to explore formidable Rara lake.
Covered by Rara National Park, Rara Lake Motorcycle Adventure is a masterpiece. It takes you to the big mass of clear water where one can see a shadow of his own shadow. If you are lucky while riding you will also be able to capture the wild species. Species like snow leopard, red panda, musk deer, langurs, and many more live in Rara National park. You might able be able to see the five different colors that this lake offers.
Motorcycle adventure is sure enough for enthusiasm and endurance riders. If you are ready to check your own riding skill on diverse geography take part on this adventure ride. The bike of Choice for this adventure is Honda CRF 250 cc, Himalayan 411 cc.
Itenerary
Upon arrival at the airport met by our office representative and transferred to the hotel for your overnight stay. In the evening, short briefing about the trip and bike introduction. Overnight HotelAfter breakfast, we negotiate the traffic out of Kathmandu city and ride out of the valley to Pokhara, where we are greeted with views of the Annapurna Mountain range including the famous Fishtail Mountain. Pokhara stands at 884m above sea level, about 700 m lower than Kathmandu Valley.Upon arrival check into the hotel. Rest of the day is free to relax or explore around the lakeside bazaar.Overnight at the HotelAfter breakfast we ride out of Pokhara and head south on to the Siddhartha Highway. Upon arrival around mid-afternoon we check into the hotel and visit the famous birthplace of Lord Gautama Buddha. Lumbini was made a World Heritage Site status by UNESCO in 1997. Overnight at the Hotel.After breakfast, we track back the road up to Butwal and from here we turn west and join the East-West Highway going towards Kohalpur. This part of the road is made up of smooth wide roads with medium traffic. The highway is perfect for a smooth ride passing through beautiful Saal forests, rivers, and small towns and villages. For the occasional speed lovers, this is the perfect part of the journey to hitting the throttle. Upon arrival, we check into the hotel.Continue to Rara Lake by leaving Kohalpur and traveling towards Kalikot. After about 5 km the road enters the Shivalik foothills of the Himalayas and starts climbing and winding. Sometimes, beyond Surkhet, the clouds may be on the surface, bringing a touch of magic to the ride. Enjoy riding on a meandering, winding, ascending, and descending mountain roads.From Kalikot, the route ascends and descends a series of mountains. We start the most scenic part of the Rara Lake bike trip, as we ride through coniferous forests of Morinda spruce, Pindrow firs, and deodars. You may get to see horses grazing wide-open meadows. On reaching the Talcha Airport, we park the bikes and set out towards the lake on foot. We walk uphill through pristine forests to reach our destination, which lies within Rara National Park. Admire the intense natural beauty to the fullest, click photos and keep sharp eyes for a wild animals in the area. We proceed to the hotel located on the shores of Rara for an overnight stay.This day's rest from the Rara Lake moto expedition will allow you to muster the energy for the journey ahead. A fine opportunity to hike in the area, looking for various animal species, or go on a short trek to a nearby village. After the sightseeing, come back to the hotel for a good night’s sleep.We begin the downhill phase of the tour and travel to Kalikot. On reaching the place, transfer to your lodging for a welcome night's rest.This section of the Rara Lake bike tour involves riding further downhill towards the border town of Nepalgunj for an overnight stay at Kohalpur.After breakfast, we head east towards Narayanghat, 120 Kms from Butwal. We ride on the east-west highway and this section of the journey is very relaxing as the roads are wide and smooth passing through rivers and sal forest. Sauraha is the main tourist destination in Chitwan and also the entrance to the Chitwan National Park.Full-Day jungle activities such as dugout canoe ride, jungle walk, visit elephant breeding center, gharial breeding center, elephant safari to see wild animals like Rhino, deer, wild boar, monkeys, peacock, gharial crocodile, marsh mugger crocodile, if lucky we may even see Tiger but they are very elusive. Evening Tharu cultural dance program. Lunch and dinners included.After breakfast, we can go on a wildlife safari on an Elephant to view and photograph wildlife from close quarters. The animals are scattered, elusive, and mostly reside in the dense grasslands which grow to a height of 3 m. the only means of penetrating this dense grassland is by elephants. This gives us an opportunity to see the majestic one-horned rhino. Later return back to the hotel.After breakfast, meet your guide and vehicle for half a day’s sightseeing tour of Boudhanath Stupa and Pashupatinath Temple. The rest of the day is free for last-minute shopping. In the evening: Dinner with Nepalese Cultural show.You can enjoy some of your remaining time buying souvenirs. Equipment Checklist
Here’s a complete rundown of what to bring if you’re planning a trek or tour in Nepal. Proper preparation and equipment for the conditions will go a long way to ensuring you have a great trekking experience.
